Mallory + Tyson | Orcas Island | Destination Wedding Photographers

Mallory and Tyson were just the sweetest pair of lovebirds.  Besides Turtlehead Farm being an AMAZING venue, the couple seemed extra relaxed having a long history with the farm and its caretakers. Laura and I could go on about the details and moments, but this time we choose to let the Bride and Groom give THEIR takes on the day:

Tyson’s take:
It’s hard to articulate what this day has come to mean, even this closely removed, but it was everything I ever wanted… Not because the weather turned out perfectly, not because all of our planning paid off, but because the girl of my dreams got the day she deserved and I had something to do with it. That night in our newlywed cottage, after we were finally alone she told me she couldn’t possibly have been happier…  and at that point, hearing that, neither could I.

I loved this picture because I felt like it represented us
choosing each other, and it feels like we were at our most comfortable.
Mallory’s take:
Although it sounds cliche, our wedding was definitely the best day of my life. I didn’t understand until going through it how special a wedding is. It was so wonderful to be surrounded by so many people that we love, seeing our friends and family come together on Orcas Island to celebrate the start of our married life was so incredibly special. I loved everything from spending time with my girls getting ready to the anticipation of seeing my husband-to-be for the first time right before walking down the isle, to Tyson saying vows with tears in his eyes, our first kiss, pictures on The Ridge, dinner, toasts, dancing (every minute!). I feel incredibly thankful we were were able to be married on Turtlehead Farm, a place that means so much to us and to our relationship. Everything was…dare I say it…PERFECT, I’m still smiling weeks later!

I like this picture because of the feeling I remember at that moment. I remember feeling so much love for Tyson here, this is right after we were just announced as “wife and husband” and I loved taking a moment to soak it up by just looking at him and only him.
