Its not everyday that a local business sets up their goodies for  anyone to come play for free while the business owner cooks up your raw foods on his beachside wok fryer.  Well, on Lopez its about every other Thursday throughout the summer.  Jake over at Kite Paddle Lopez is about as cool as they come.  I made it out only ONE time this summer before I broke my leg; and between the beer and the boards and the food I barely got any usable images.  But what he’s doing is so cool I gotta share.

Its community gatherings like this that sets this place apart from anywhere else I’ve ever lived.  Seems like a good excuse to use a hashtag: #GrowingRoots.
