I visited the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico back in 2011. This year, I’m finally headed back! This time under the hire of a lovely couple who have planned an awesome wedding just South of Cancun. This is the type of work I’ve been dreaming about. Years of education and experience have brought have brought me to this point. It seems like I’ve found the perfect way to earn a living, while being able to do my two favorite things: travel and capture people’s stories. Destination wedding photographers often find themselves in very privileged situations.
Hence, I am feeling very blessed right now, and stoked for some 80 degree days overtop some warm caribbean blue waters. I capsized a racing dinghy twice today with my big pee zipper open and let in 5 gallons of water into my drysuit twice before I figured out how it was getting in. Thats Pacific Northwest 50 degree water. My bones hurt for an hour afterwards. I need warm water immersion!!!!!!!
My assistant and I have a ton of side trips that we want to do over our 9 day trip. I be sure to sprinkle out some fresh images when I get back.
I’m going completely unplugged. No cell phone, no email. Just good old fashioned vacation style walkabout with some sailing paperbacks and a bathing suit.
This is Adam, beaching out till October 29th.
Here’s some 2011 pics to hold you over…
