A PNW dream wedding should include key elements like a private island in the San Juans, days of glamping in tee-pees and being served French cuisine with all of you favorite people, and lots of rain during your ceremony…oh wait, maybe not that last part.
It hadn’t rained in probably 100 days, but wouldn’t you know it, it dumped cats and dogs during the ceremony turning all those amazing hairdos into flat mops (before the bridal pictures) and chilling every participant to the bone. We all ran for shelter and towels immediately, but the good spirited wedding party quickly recovered and headed for the soccer field for a quick pickup game.
Megan and Mike have found true love and know how to surround themselves with good friends and family. It was a true pleasure sailing over and spending a couple of days getting to know them all and see such a supportive gathering of love. The whole affair was homemade and a team effort. The DIY elements flowed seamlessly with the French Camp aspects of Canoe Island, truly unique icon of PACNW summer camps spanning generations.
The Pacific Northwest islands never disappoints as a wedding destination, even when it rains.
