Lara Polangco is a creative songwriter from North Georgia. Georgia Music Magazine refers to her voice as “tupelo vocals” in the 2011 spring quarterly. Baby girl can sing. She plays an old Gibson guitar and a new Ohm banjo.
Lara Polangco has recently begun performing solo again after a six year sojourn with The Family Honor and more recently with the four-piece folk band HomeGrown Revival– coming back on the scene as a powerful presence in full command of herself. The songs she writes are introspective, political, sweet, sad and sometimes cute. But they’re always real.
She has been a dear friend for many years and I am excited to be involved with this new chapter of her promising musical career! There is no better voice within 800 miles. Some of these photos will be incorporated into her soon to be released studio album. Be sure to keep an eye out for it. In the meantime your can catch her playing October 8th. Be there!
