A whole year and a half ago, Jake and I swung by the Jones Family Farm to say Hello.
We were quickly invited to stay for dinner.
This wasn’t just any dinner this time. I volunteered to type up the menu and I couldn’t pronounce most of the items on it.
They flew in some Seattle chefs to create a five course gastromasterpiece using Jones Family Farms ingredients. They spent two days doing things like slow roasting pork bellies underground. It was outstanding. As you can tell by the lack of good pictures during the actual dinner; I was overcome by the emotion of the food.
We dared to feel underdressed and undeserving but THIS was the Jones family: some of our closest friends in our world right now. Accepted and loved, just the way we are.
Good people. Cute kids.
I’m glad I had my camera with me. All shots were taken with a Nikon 7100 and a 35mm 1.8 lens @f2.
A San Juan Islands Farm Dinner on Lopez Island presented by Jones Family Farms is a unique farm to table experience.
