The Ratza family hosted a wonderful pizza bake to celebrate some life changes and the Fall Equinox. It couldn’t have been a prettier day. The local band, The Field Boats belted out some serious jams while the oven kept pumping out pies late into the night. I’ve been so deep in the throws of editing my summer weddings that I didn’t even think to bring my Nikon. I remembered Josh has a slick little Canon G15 and i volunteered to man it to document the occasion for the family. Here’s some of my favorites from the day. It took some awesome pictures and the AF and shutter lag were fantastic. It helps that it has that 2.0 lens for great bokeh. All images were shot in Raw and processed in Adobe Lightroom. Enjoy. (If you were there you can see them all in another gallery here.)
It started to get really dark at this point. ISO was up around 2500 or so and I found B&W to be more pleasing than to try and pull out good skin tones in these night shots.
After returning to the docks a mile away I could still here Chris singing on the PA and D’s new drum kit echoing across the water! Thanks for a great night Josh, Jennifer, Noah and Sebastian! This Fall is off to the right start.
